Thrilling Day 12 at Paris 2024: Women’s Golf, Diving, Canoe Sprint, and More

Good day, esteemed guests, and thank you for joining us for the live coverage of the 12th official day of competition at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

The day begins with the marathon race walk mixed relay at 07:30, followed by women’s golf and taekwondo at 09:00. Canoe sprint and handball will commence at 09:30, leading to a busy schedule from 10:00 onwards.

Today promises an array of medal events including sailing, sport climbing, weightlifting, skateboarding, pole vault, cycling, wrestling, artistic swimming, discus, taekwondo, 400m, 3000m steeplechase, and boxing.

Let us first reflect on yesterday’s notable performances. The USA showcased outstanding athletes such as Gabby Thomas, Cole Hocker, and Amit Elor, along with the US Women’s National Team making strides under the leadership of Emma Hayes. The velodrome also saw remarkable achievements by athletes such as Arisa Trew and Mijain Lopez.

While athletes demonstrated exceptional performances, we witnessed captivating medal victories from a diverse range of countries, with 76 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) securing medals. As a result, the USA has ascended to the top spot on the medal table, surpassing China.

Today’s medal events span a variety of sports, including sailing, artistic swimming, and boxing. In the mixed dinghy medal race, Britain’s Vita Heathcote and Chris Grube will strive for a podium finish in sailing.

The artistic swimming event, despite significant rule changes in 2022 allowing male participation, will not feature male competitors this year. The boxing event, meanwhile, faces uncertain prospects in the Olympics due to the International Olympic Committee’s deadline to find a new governing body.

As we prepare for a thrilling day of competition, we encourage you to share your thoughts on the events that have captured your interest. We eagerly anticipate your feedback and invite you to communicate with us via email.

Relax and immerse yourself in the excitement of the Paris 2024 Olympics!
