Inauguration of New Container Train Route from China to Uzbekistan
A groundbreaking development has occurred in the logistics and transportation sector as a new container train service has been successfully launched, connecting China to Uzbekistan. According to a report by Uzbek Railways Container JSC, the inaugural container block train departed from the Jinhua station in eastern China and has reached its destination at the Nazarbek station in Uzbekistan.
The journey of this newly instituted train encompassed a transit through the Altynkol station in Kazakhstan, covering an impressive distance of 6,250 kilometers over a span of just 12 days. The train comprised 50 containers, carrying vital production equipment along with consolidated cargo, which demonstrates the service’s capability to support diverse logistical needs.
Upon arrival at Nazarbek station, the containers are set to be transferred onto express container block trains that will operate on the fitting platforms of Uzbekistan Railways JSC, facilitating transport to the Urgench station. Notably, this marks the inaugural express train service on the Nazarbek-Urgench route, emphasizing the significance of this new logistical corridor.
Moreover, it is worth mentioning that this initiative aligns with previous advancements in container transportation, including the launch of a new multimodal route connecting India and Uzbekistan. The establishment of such routes underscores the growing importance of efficient and diverse transportation links in the region, enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
