The World Athletics U20 Championships Lima 2024 is set to commence from August 27 to August 31, with more than 1,700 athletes representing 134 nations. This prestigious event will take place at the Estadio Atletico de la Vide in Lima, Peru, attracting many talented competitors, including several Olympians from the upcoming Paris 2024 Games.
Notable participants include South Africa’s Bradley Nkoana and Bayanda Walaza, both of whom earned a silver medal in the men’s 4x100m relay at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The women’s 100m category features prominent talents such as Jamaica’s Alana Reid, who competed in the 4x100m relay at the Stade de France, and Australian athlete Torrie Lewis, who participated in the 200m and 4x100m events.

These include Estonia’s Karmen Bruus in the high jump, Uzbekistan’s Sharifa Davronova in the triple jump, Ethiopia’s Medina Eisa in the 5000m, and Jamaica’s Kerrica Hill in the 100m hurdles.
