Peacock to Premiere ‘Gold Zone’ for 2024 Paralympics Following Olympic Success

In a significant development for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, Peacock is set to reintroduce its acclaimed program, “Gold Zone,” following its triumph during the Summer Olympics. The show will commence its inaugural airing for the Paralympics on August 29, 2024, offering viewers a dynamic overview of the daily events held during this prestigious competition. Hosted by Carolyn Manno, who will be returning for her sixth Paralympic Games, “Gold Zone” will broadcast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET from the first day of competition until September 7, 2024, which marks the penultimate day of the Games.

Molly Solomon, the executive producer of NBC Olympics and Paralympics, expressed her enthusiasm for the return of the program, stating, “Coming off its resounding success during the Paris Olympics, ‘Gold Zone’ will make its Paralympic debut and provide a whirlwind trip around the Games each day as Team USA’s athletes compete against the world’s best.” In addition to “Gold Zone,” Peacock will also reinstate its innovative “Multiview” feature throughout the Paralympics, allowing audiences to watch multiple live events simultaneously. This feature is set to run from August 29 through September 4, 2024.

Kelly Campbell, the president of Peacock and direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal, emphasized the impact of these features during the Olympics, indicating that both “Gold Zone” and “Multiview” fostered enhanced engagement and viewer discovery and are expected to continue delivering value during the Paralympic Games. Peacock will present approximately 1,500 hours of live coverage for the 2024 Paralympics, complemented by more than 140 additional hours of programming available on NBC, USA Network, and CNBC, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the event.
