On Wednesday, the Paris La Défense Arena hosted the first Para swimming events of the day, drawing attention to remarkable performances from elite athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Kylian Portal, a distinguished athlete in the 100 m freestyle S12 event, secured his place in the finals with a commendable time of 54.49 seconds, finishing third in his heat. This time ranked him sixth overall, just seven tenths of a second behind Britain’s Stephen Clegg, setting the stage for Portal to pursue his second medal of the games this evening at 5:30 p.m. Notably, he had previously earned a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle, an achievement he shares with his brother, Alex.
