USA Shooting’s Performance at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: Final Medal Count and Highlights
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games concluded on Sunday, September 8, 2023, in France, marking an important milestone for USA Shooting’s Paralympic athletes. The final event for USA Shooting was the R6 mixed 50m rifle prone SH1, which took place on Thursday, September 5. Notably, the U.S. team celebrated a commendable achievement as YanXiao Gong secured a silver medal in the P3 mixed 25m pistol SH1 event, bringing home the sole medal for the United States from these Games.
The competition commenced on Friday, August 30, with YanXiao Gong and Marco De La Rosa participating in the P1 men’s 10m air pistol SH1 event. Gong placed 16th while De La Rosa finished 22nd, resulting in neither athlete qualifying for the final round.
