Elyce Lin-Gracey Set for Grand Prix Debut Following Remarkable Challenger Series Victory

Lin-Gracey captured second place at the season’s initial ISU Challenger Series event, the Cranberry Cup International, in August, before her victory at the Nebelhorn Trophy just a month later. During her recent outing in Oberstdorf, she scored a personal best of 71.16 in the short program and recorded a new high in the free skate with a total score of 142.17, landing six triple jumps that elevated her previous record by 16 points, collectively yielding an impressive total of 213.33. “I am obviously very happy. When the results came up I couldn’t believe it. Was it me who just scored 213? I realise now that if I continue working like this, I can maybe get more results like this. For Skate America I want to work on components to maybe score even higher,” she noted in an interview following the competition. Lin-Gracey’s short program this season is set to Lara Fabian’s “Broken Vow,” while her free program features music from “Wadjet” and “Cleopatra’s Death” by Claude-Michel Schoenberg.
