India Advocates Early Ceasefire in Gaza During Meeting with Saudi Arabia

India’s External Affairs Minister S. On Wednesday, during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, expressed India’s commitment to an early ceasefire in Gaza and a resolution to the Palestinian issue through a two-state solution. He emphasized that while India condemns terrorism, responses to the recent attacks must align with international humanitarian law, highlighting the dual necessity of addressing security and protecting civilian lives. The two ministers co-chaired the second meeting of the Committee on Political, Security, Social, and Cultural Cooperation under the Strategic Partnership Council, which ensures effective collaboration between India and Saudi Arabia.
