Tianjin City Partners with Huawei to Advance Domestic AI Initiatives
Tianjin City has established the AI Computing Centre in partnership with Huawei Technologies, aimed at advancing the domestic AI sector. Launched in March 2023, the centre is the first in the region to integrate DeepSeek’s AI models. It features a 300 PFlop processing capacity, facilitating easy access to advanced AI capabilities for local businesses.
In a significant move towards fostering its domestic artificial intelligence sector, Tianjin City, located in northern China, has partnered with Huawei Technologies to inaugurate the Tianjin AI Computing Centre. This facility, launched in March 2023, represents a pioneering venture in the broader region surrounding Beijing, specifically dedicated to the implementation of DeepSeek’s advanced AI models.
The AI Computing Centre is equipped with Huawei’s impressive domestic infrastructure capable of performing 300 PFlops, which equals 300 quadrillion calculations per second. This remarkable processing capability will enable businesses to seamlessly utilize DeepSeek’s models, including its most extensive 671 billion parameter system and six optimized versions, all without requiring expensive in-house server setups.
