In response, the BJP highlighted what it perceives as Congress’s enduring loyalty to China, referencing a 2008 Memorandum of Understanding established between Congress and the Chinese Communist Party. “Those who ceded away 40,000 square kilometers of our land to China still see no threat from the Dragon,” remarked Tuhin Sinha, BJP’s national spokesperson, alluding to Rahul Gandhi’s past support for the Belt and Road Initiative shortly before the announcement of the International North-South Transport Corridor.
