Chinese Ambassador Li Minggang Visits Vanuatu’s Minister for Climate Change
On February 24, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang congratulated Hon. Ralph Regenvanu on his new role as Minister for Climate Change. They discussed cooperation in climate change responses, emphasizing China’s commitment to green development and Vanuatu’s priorities in addressing climate issues. Both parties expressed readiness to work together towards sustainable development goals.
On February 24, 2025, Li Minggang, the Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu, visited the Honorable Ralph Regenvanu, the Minister for Climate Change Adaptation, Meteorology and Geo-Hazards, Energy, Environment, and National Disaster Management of Vanuatu. During this courtesy call, Ambassador Li expressed his congratulations to Minister Regenvanu on his recent appointment and affirmed China’s commitment to green and low-carbon development, emphasizing the significance of climate action.
Ambassador Li reiterated China’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Vanuatu in addressing climate change. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the goals outlined in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement while aiming to contribute positively to global climate responses.
Minister Regenvanu expressed gratitude for China’s support in climate change efforts, disaster prevention, and relief initiatives.
