UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshaali emphasized the growing significance of Iftar celebrations, which began at the embassy two years ago. He highlighted that these events embody UAE’s values of compassion and symbolize the strong ties with India. Alshaali also announced a high-level visit scheduled for April, showcasing the ongoing cooperation between the nations.

On Thursday, Abdulnasser Alshaali, the UAE Ambassador to India, underscored the significance of Iftar celebrations, stating that they have become increasingly important for him personally, as well as for the embassy. The ambassador noted that the embassy first hosted this event two years ago, and each subsequent celebration has expanded in scale and importance.

Alshaali expressed that the Iftar gatherings embody the UAE’s values of compassion, which he wishes to share with India. He cited the recent opening of the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi as indicative of the robust relationship enjoyed between the two nations. The ambassador stated, “The Iftar tonight here captures the essence of compassion of the UAE… part of it is doing the Iftar and the celebration, but part of it is also getting to express what the UAE is about.”

Moreover, he remarked on the deepening friendship between the UAE and India, emphasized by increasing cooperation in various sectors such as economics and aviation. Alshaali also announced a high-level visit set for April, anticipating it as another successful addition to the ongoing partnership. He remarked, “There is a high level visit… it’s happening in April. We are all looking forward to that.”

Earlier that day, the ambassador hosted a Ramadan Iftar at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi. This esteemed event gathered dignitaries, officials, and business leaders, symbolizing the rich cultural bonds and enduring friendship between the UAE and India.
