The delegation was warmly welcomed upon their arrival at Kunming Airport by several officials including Nazmul Islam, the Bangladeshi Ambassador to China. In his speech, he affirmed that this visit symbolizes a new chapter in the burgeoning friendship between the two nations, marking the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Islam noted that this initiative not only enhances healthcare cooperation but also furthers the longstanding strategic partnership covering various sectors such as politics, trade, and culture. After formalities, the patients were promptly escorted to their respective medical facilities for check-ups or treatment. Among them, three children suffering from congenital heart issues were treated at Fuwai Yunnan Hospital, a leading cardiovascular facility known for its advanced technology. Family members expressed gratitude and optimism regarding their children’s care.

However, language barriers posed challenges for some families during their initial experiences. Despite this, assistance from translators facilitated effective communication with healthcare providers. The hospital undertakes a structured treatment process, involving thorough examinations, consultations with specialists, and surgeries as necessary, all within a week’s timeframe.

Health professionals at the hospital explained the dangers of untreated conditions, projecting positive recovery outcomes for the young patients. With a steady influx of international patients, including 24-30 pediatric cases annually, the hospital is well-equipped to handle complex treatments.
