In celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, the Xiamen Culture and Tourism Bureau organized a business promotion fair in Bangkok. Themed “Maritime Garden · Music Moves Xiamen,” this event seeks to strengthen cultural and tourism ties between the two nations.

The promotion highlighted Xiamen’s coastal allure, showcasing its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Thai partners were introduced to various presentation formats, including videos, folk customs, cultural performances, and travel route promotions, designed to illustrate the魅力 of the coastal city.

During the event, Xiamen representatives discussed the city’s cultural and tourism development plans, along with incentives for foreign investors. Huang Guobin, vice-chairman of the Xiamen Committee, emphasized the event’s role as a platform for fostering high-standard projects between the nations and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.

Huang stated, “This year marks a historical milestone of Sino-Thai relations. As an important hub city of the Maritime Silk Road, Xiamen has a long-term partnership with Bangkok in culture, tourism, and trade.” He expressed optimism for reinforcing bilateral trade and collaboration.

Boonrapee Damrongrat, director of the East Asia Market Division under the Tourism Authority of Thailand, remarked on the unique characteristics of both cities. He noted, “The event provided an important opportunity for the two cities to deepen their friendship, with future collaborations anticipated in resource sharing and market interconnection.”

Overall, the fair is expected to catalyze ongoing cooperation, enhancing the extensive cultural and economic ties that define the relationship between Thailand and China.
