Dr. Randy Abbey, Chairman of the Black Stars management committee, has assured the public that the team will secure a victory against Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. He recognized that the recent poor performances of the team, including their failure to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), have led to a loss of interest among Ghanaians.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Dr. Abbey, expressed confidence that a convincing win against Chad will significantly improve Ghana’s prospects for qualifying for the World Cup. He emphasized the management’s efforts in preparing the team adequately for this crucial match.
In an interview with Accra-based Original FM, Dr. Abbey stated, “We, the Black Stars management committee, have confidence in the team, and we believe that we will win to regain the trust of Ghanaians.”
The Black Stars are scheduled to compete against Chad on March 21, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by an away match against Madagascar on March 24, 2025.
