Saudi Arabia Defeats 10-Man China 1-0 in AFC World Cup Qualifying
Saudi Arabia defeated China 1-0 in an AFC World Cup qualifier, with Salem Al-Dawsari scoring the crucial goal. Lin Liangming’s red card further complicated China’s efforts, leaving them at the bottom of Group C. Japan secured their qualification by beating Bahrain 2-0 in the same group.
In a recent AFC qualifying match for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia recorded a narrow 1-0 victory against China in Riyadh on March 20, 2025. This defeat further entrenches China at the bottom of Group C, with only six points earned from seven matches.
The only goal of the match came early in the second half, when Saudi midfielder Salem Al-Dawsari capitalized on a rebound from a blocked shot by Chinese goalkeeper Wang Dalei.
