China and Serbia recently solidified trade and economic ties through agreements established by a Chinese business delegation in Serbia. President Aleksandar Vucic met with the delegation, emphasizing the importance of cross-border e-commerce, agricultural trade, and technology. China’s support for Serbia’s future exposition and mutual cooperative endeavors was also highlighted.

A recent visit by a Chinese business delegation to Serbia has resulted in the establishment of multiple cooperation agreements between Chinese and Serbian companies. These agreements target sectors such as cross-border e-commerce, agricultural trade, and information technology. The visit took place from March 19 to March 21 and featured a significant meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the delegation, led by Ren Hongbin, president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

During the visit, Mr. Ren engaged in discussions with various Serbian government officials, business associations, and Expo institutions at the China-Serbia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum. He emphasized China’s dedication to enhancing trade and investment cooperation, aiming to solidify existing partnerships while also pursuing innovative approaches in various sectors.

Mr. Ren expressed China’s support for Serbia’s role as host of the 2027 Belgrade Specialized Expo and extended an invitation to Serbian businesses for participation in the upcoming third China International Supply Chain Expo. Serbian representatives noted that amidst the growing uncertainties in the global economy, China’s involvement presents an opportunity for stability in Serbia’s economic development. Furthermore, Serbia is eager to bolster economic and trade relations with China to facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes.

The visit of the Chinese business delegation to Serbia signifies a pivotal step towards strengthening economic and trade relations between the two nations. Key agreements in promising sectors such as e-commerce, agriculture, and technology indicate a commitment to cooperation that benefits both parties, particularly in times of global economic uncertainty.
