General Mykola Malomuzh, the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, analyzed the new Russian negotiators, Karasin and Beseda, during an appearance on Espresso TV. He indicated that these individuals represent a heightened level of danger compared to their predecessors. According to him, while previous meetings included figures like Sergey Lavrov from Putin’s administration, the current negotiators possess a continuous hawkish stance towards Ukraine throughout its independence period.

Malomuzh emphasized that the current Russian team has long had strategic aspirations to undermine Ukrainian sovereignty, advancing key figures within Ukraine’s political landscape and influencing sectors critical to national security, such as the economy and defense.
