It has invited 35 elite Chinese luxury travel buyers to engage with premier tourism suppliers from Seychelles, Kenya, and Tanzania, with a focus on nurturing meaningful partnerships and promoting luxury tourism in the region.
The event commenced with an elegant ceremony at L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa, attended by dignitaries such as Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, and Ms. Zhang Xing, Founder of Connect China. Their presence underscored the significance of this event for enhancing tourism connectivity.
In his opening address, Minister Radegonde highlighted the pivotal role of China within Seychelles’ tourism framework, advocating for “genuine, mutually beneficial partnerships” in the luxury travel arena. The event also featured local cultural exhibits, including the traditional Sega and Kanmtole dances, demonstrating Seychelles’ rich heritage in a vibrant networking environment.
As the first island to host this elite B2B trade fair, Seychelles is significantly positioning itself in the lucrative outbound luxury travel segment of Asia. The event structure comprises one-on-one meetings, networking opportunities, and familiarization trips, allowing Chinese delegates to experience firsthand the unique offerings of the archipelago and its partners.
This initiative reflects a commitment to sustainable, high-end tourism development.
