Bakhodir Jalolov, a distinguished two-time Olympic gold medalist from Uzbekistan, has set his aspirations high, aiming to face current super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine. In a recent interview, Jalolov declared his readiness to compete against both Usyk and Anthony Joshua, indicating that a few months of training would suffice for him to prepare adequately for these challenges.
Jalolov stated, “Give me two or three months. If I train a little, I will be ready for the fight with Usyk and Anthony Joshua. I think these confrontations will be interesting for the fans. They are also Olympic champions like me, and they have achieved great success in professional boxing. Watch out, I am on my way.”
With an impressive career record, Jalolov has concluded all 14 of his professional bouts by knockout. He has previously secured gold medals at both the 2021 and 2024 Olympic Games. A notable upcoming match for Jalolov is against Ukrainian Ihor Shevadzutskyi, scheduled for April 5 in Astana.
Oleksandr Usyk, who achieved Olympic gold in 2012, maintains an undefeated 23-0 record in professional boxing and holds the title of absolute world champion in the super heavyweight category, reinforcing his dominance in the sport.
