Wang Huning and Uzbekistan’s Advisor Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Wang Huning met with Uzbek advisor Sardor Umurzakov in Beijing to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and implementing agreements made by their respective leaders. They emphasized cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative and mutual development in various fields, including industrialization and poverty alleviation.
On March 25, 2025, Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, held a meeting with Sardor Umurzakov, presidential advisor on special assignments from Uzbekistan, in Beijing. Their discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of implementing the agreements established by the leaders of both nations.
Wang expressed China’s commitment to collaborate with Uzbekistan in advancing the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. He highlighted efforts toward establishing a China-Uzbekistan community characterized by a shared future and mutual benefits.
Umurzakov extended his congratulations to China for successfully hosting the recent two sessions. He acknowledged Uzbekistan’s keen interest in China’s socio-economic accomplishments under the governance of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and expressed a desire for deeper bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas like industrial advancement, poverty alleviation, and scientific innovation.
