Egypt and Saudi Arabia Condemn Israeli Plan for Relocation of Gazans

Earlier this month, the Arab Summit endorsed a reconstruction plan for Gaza that does not involve the displacement of its residents. The plan suggests governance by a committee of professionals until the Palestinian Authority can take control once more.
Egypt has expressed strong condemnation of the Israeli agency aimed at displacing Palestinians and also criticized the recognition of new settlements in the West Bank. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that such actions amount to forced displacement, violating international humanitarian law.
Saudi Arabia voiced similar concerns, stating its rejection of Israel’s ongoing violations of international law as well. The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned the establishment of the Israeli agency and the approval of illegal settlements in the West Bank, describing it as an attempt to legitimize colonial activities.
Concurrent with these developments, the Gaza Ministry of Health reports that over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict escalated, with recent weeks witnessing a significant increase in fatalities due to Israeli airstrikes, which have further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region.
