Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is in Beijing for discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, focusing on fostering investment opportunities in Bangladesh. His agenda includes participating in an “Investment Dialogue” and multiple roundtable discussions aimed at attracting Chinese investments.

On March 27, 2025, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrived in Beijing for significant discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping scheduled for tomorrow. The meeting will take place at the Great Hall of the People at 10 am, as confirmed by Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.

Following the presidential meeting, Professor Yunus will engage in an “Investment Dialogue” at The Presidential Beijing at 11:45 am. This event aims to showcase the conducive business environment of Bangladesh to entice Chinese investors to consider investment opportunities in the country.

Additionally, the Chief Adviser will partake in three roundtable discussions focused on Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Investment, Bangladesh 2.0 Manufacturing and Market Opportunities, and Social Business, Youth Entrepreneurship, and the World of Three Zeros. These discussions will facilitate exchanges with CEOs, leaders in the Social Business Circle, and representatives from prominent Chinese corporations.

As part of his visit, Professor Yunus will be attending a dinner hosted by the Bangladesh Ambassador to China. This four-day trip includes various advisers from sectors such as Foreign Affairs, Power, Energy, Mineral Resources, and Railways, alongside senior members of the Chief Adviser’s team.
