AsstrA Successfully Delivers Oversized Condensers to Uzbekistan
AsstrA has successfully delivered two oversized water-cooled condensers from China to Uzbekistan while managing logistical challenges such as border crossing and specialized transportation. The company’s efforts included dismantling infrastructure and utilizing custom vehicles to ensure smooth transport.
AsstrA Associated Traffic successfully coordinated the transportation of two water-cooled condensers from China to a combined cycle gas turbine plant in Talimarjan, Uzbekistan. Due to their significant width of 7.8 meters, the condensers could not pass through the existing gate at the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border. As a solution, AsstrA organized the dismantling of the gates and parts of the surrounding infrastructure, procuring the necessary permits to facilitate the border crossing.
To navigate challenging portions of the route, AsstrA utilized trucks equipped with swivel axles and three-axle tractor trailers. This specialized equipment improved maneuverability through tight turns and enhanced stability during transportation.
Nikita Kim, the business development manager at AsstrA IPL in Kazakhstan, emphasized the challenges of project logistics, stating, “Project logistics always requires non-standard solutions, especially in the transportation of oversized cargo. In this case, the key success factors were detailed route planning, prompt coordination with border services, and the use of specialised transport.” He further noted that the company not only delivered the cargo but also ensured its efficient passage along a complex route.
In addition to the successful delivery of the condensers, AsstrA also recently transported OBSL modules for the Ineos Project One, showcasing their expertise in managing diverse logistics needs.
In conclusion, AsstrA’s adept handling of the logistics for transporting oversized cargo underscores their capability in overcoming complex challenges. With proactive solutions like dismantling gates and utilizing specialized trucks, AsstrA demonstrated a keen understanding of project logistics. Their recent undertakings further solidify their position as a leader in the logistics industry, particularly for transporting large equipment.
