Chilean President Praises PM Modi’s Global Leadership Skills During State Visit
Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his global leadership during his state visit to India, emphasizing Modi’s ability to connect with international leaders. On April 2, 2025, Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font commended Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his exceptional global leadership skills, stating that Modi possesses the capacity to engage with leaders from around the world. During his remarks at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, President Boric expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received on his inaugural state visit to India, noting the considerable changes in India over the past 16 years. President Boric is visiting India from April 1 to 5, 2025, in celebration of 76 years of diplomatic relations. His delegation includes various ministers and business leaders, indicative of a commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation through direct dialogues with Prime Minister Modi and other leaders during his trip to notable cities such as Agra, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
This visit marks the first engagement between President Boric and India, having previously met Prime Minister Modi during the G20 Summit in November 2024. His arrival was met with a ceremonial welcome at Air Force Station Palam, where he also engaged in discussions with Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar.
