President Chapo to Inaugurate Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2025

Mozambican President Daniel Chapo will open the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair from April 21-26, 2025, themed “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Landscape.” The event expects about 600 exhibitors and participants from 29 countries, highlighting its growing international significance and its role in promoting trade and investment in the region.

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) is anticipated to be inaugurated by Mozambican President Daniel Chapo in Bulawayo this year. Scheduled from April 21 to April 26, 2025, this prominent business event will highlight the theme “Industrialisation: Crafting an Integrated Landscape.”

Zimbabwe’s Information Minister, Jenfan Muswere, reported post-Cabinet meeting that all preparations for the fair are progressing positively. He confirmed that President Chapo will officially open the event on April 25, attracting attention from various stakeholders.

As of April 7, nearly 600 exhibitors have registered for this year’s ZITF, compared to 428 last year at the same time, with 98 companies participating for the first time. The event has garnered international attention, with 29 countries indicating participation—an increase from 27 in 2024. Notable participants include China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and the European Union.

Muswere stated that 95% of the exhibition space has already been reserved, underscoring the event’s significance. Key features of the program this year include a Rural Industrialisation Indaba, the Connect Africa Symposium, an International Business Forum, and a display organized by CBZ Original Equipment Manufacturers. The ZITF, now in its 65th year, serves as a crucial platform for fostering trade, investment, and industrial development within Zimbabwe and the surrounding regions.
