Paris 2024 Games Finale: Join the Parade des Champions on the Champs-Élysées

On September 14, the Parade des Champions will take place on the Champs-Élysées, celebrating Olympic and Paralympic achievements. On Saturday, September 14, Paris will host the finale of the 2024 Games with the Parade des Champions on the iconic Champs-Élysées. From 4 PM to 6:30 PM, Olympic and Paralympic athletes, organizers, and volunteers will unite in celebration, sharing their remarkable journey with the public, who are invited to attend at no cost with registration.

The procession will commence at the avenue’s bottom and conclude at the top. An estimated 8,000 to 10,000 individuals will march, acknowledging all contributors to the Paris 2024 Games. Thierry Reboul, Director of Ceremonies, emphasized their aim to recreate the surprise and excitement experienced during previous events, promising a memorable collective celebration.

Following the parade, a symbolic decoration ceremony will occur around the Arc de Triomphe, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, led by the President of France. This moment will honor Olympic and Paralympic medallists, including notable athletes such as Teddy Riner and Léon Marchand, who will receive Republican decorations.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the flame of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will be reignited, adding emotional resonance to the day. To conclude the festivities, a free concert will take place starting at 9 PM in the Place de l’Étoile, followed by a DJ set from 11 PM to midnight, creating an exceptional atmosphere for attendees.

The celebration’s unique design will feature a 360° stage around the Arc de Triomphe, allowing an immersive experience for all spectators. A video montage showcasing previous ceremonies will be available for viewers, complemented by the official theme, “Parade” by Victor Le Masne, launching on streaming platforms on September 13.

Admission to the event is free, requiring prior registration to choose between locations on the Champs-Élysées or the Place de l’Étoile. The public will be welcomed starting at 2 PM, with a total capacity of approximately 70,000 people spread across both venues. The entire event will also be broadcast live on France Télévisions.
