Chinese Ambassador Attends Spring Festival Gala Night in Botswana, Celebrating 50 Years of Diplomatic Ties
The Spring Festival Gala Night in Botswana, attended by Ambassador Fan Yong, celebrated the Chinese New Year and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Botswana. Key attendants included government officials who acknowledged the contributions of the Chinese community to Botswana’s development.
On January 18, 2025, the Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, H.E. Mr. Fan Yong, participated in the Spring Festival Gala Night organized for the Chinese community in Botswana. This event was hosted by the Botswana Chinese Central Chamber of Commerce alongside the Gaborone Overseas Chinese Service Center. Ambassador Fan conveyed heartfelt greetings and New Year blessings to Chinese nationals and compatriots residing in Botswana.
The Spring Festival Gala Night symbolized the strong ties between China and Botswana as they mark 50 years of diplomatic relations. Ambassador Fan emphasised the importance of community and the embassy’s commitment to providing quality services for the Chinese community. The collaborations over the decades have significantly contributed to Botswana’s progress, marking an optimistic path ahead for bilateral relations.
