Samsung Introduces Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition for Paralympians at Paris 2024
Samsung Electronics is poised to reinforce its commitment to the Olympic movement by introducing a special initiative for the Paralympic Games at Paris 2024. In collaboration with the Olympic Committee, Samsung will distribute 5,000 units of the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition, ensuring that every Paralympian participating in the Games receives a device prior to the commencement of the events on August 28.
To further engage the audience at the Olympic venues, Samsung will establish experience stores that showcase their cutting-edge smartphones, including the integration of Galaxy AI features. The company has a long-standing tradition of supporting a diverse array of Team Galaxy athletes worldwide. Notable figures include French blind footballer and torchbearer Yvan Wouandji, as well as para athletes such as Johannes Floors from Germany, Madison de Rozario from Australia, and para swimmer Ugo Didier from France, among others.
Samsung’s commitment to accessibility is underscored by advanced features within its Galaxy smartphones, such as the Z Flip6. These accessibility enhancements, including the Relumino outline function, aim to assist visually impaired users by improving screen contrast and brightness, sharpening image outlines, and elevating overall visibility.
In addition to these initiatives, fans attending the events will have the opportunity to engage in pop-up experiences that provide insights into sports like blind football, para athletics, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair tennis. Participants may also have the chance to win a Galaxy Z Flip6 or a round-trip package for two to the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, thereby fostering a greater connection between technology and sport.
