Chinese Ambassador to Botswana Fan Yong met with Business Botswana President Mr. Neo Nwako on October 25, 2023, to discuss enhancing economic and trade cooperation. Ambassador Fan highlighted China’s readiness to utilize FOCAC Summit outcomes to strengthen existing cooperation mechanisms.

On October 25, 2023, Ambassador Fan Yong of China met with Mr. Neo Nwako, the President of Business Botswana (BB). The meeting was also attended by Mr. Lan Yuqiang, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, and Mr. Norman Moleele, the CEO of BB.

During the meeting, Ambassador Fan emphasized that China aims to utilize the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit to strengthen the existing cooperative frameworks. He expressed a commitment to enhancing communication and fostering collaborations between associations and enterprises from both nations, thereby boosting economic and trade relations.

This meeting marks a significant step in reinforcing the bilateral relations between China and Botswana, particularly in terms of economic collaboration.
