Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of South Korea, China, and Japan Scheduled in Tokyo
The foreign ministers of South Korea, China, and Japan will meet in Tokyo on Saturday to discuss regional cooperation and issues of mutual interest. South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul will also hold bilateral meetings with his Japanese and Chinese counterparts. This meeting follows their last trilateral discussion in Busan in November 2023.
On Tuesday, the South Korean foreign ministry announced that the foreign ministers of South Korea, China, and Japan will convene in Tokyo on Saturday. The meeting will involve South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul and his counterparts, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as they discuss collaborative efforts since the last trilateral leaders’ summit in May of the previous year.
